Good thing we aren't at home. Our knees would be tired.

Juan and Steve and Deonte look looked they are playing with boxing gloves.

Grab the ball and then decide whether to pass or drive. They've put the ball down without any space between them and the defender.

Quite a turnaround,

Started when they converted to the zone - please stick with it. We aren't a good man team

Too bad we did not have a healthy Duane last year. Of course, a year of maturity does help.

Duane and Henry could be downright terrifying next year.

Amazing considering Derrick was kicking Duane's ass in practice less than a year ago.

i think the floor slap may have been Duane's best play of the game.

I never believed that, and if it was true, was probably because of the broken foot.

Same here...sense my sarcastic comment...part of me wonders tho..what would our team have looked like with a healthy Duane last year

I spent the whole game at O'Hare picking up a sister and her family so listened to game on 540. Did I here that right - he named Derrick player of the game? I didn't have the best reception so I maybe misheard it. If was the case, was Mac trying to be cute or something?

Must have been the 6th man - didn't get reception until about 5-6 minutes and I see that he didn't start so that must be it. The Wilsons kicked butt today.

Can't wait to watch the DVR of it.

Win or lose, play well or poorly, every thread devolves into a Derrick Wilson rip session. Congrats to MU fans for being jerks.

I'll take the win at wisconsin his freshman year when Junior was suspended and he didn't turn the ball over more than once. Clearly, he has had some good games in his four years at Marquette. You simply cannot replace his hard work, leadership or positive attitude even if you could find more talented players.

The rest of the team, including even Mayo, won that game. Other than today, his best game was at Pitt when Junior was hurt. We simply disagree.

I was at the Kohl Center, Derrick was solid. Plus, the win at Pitt.

Today showed how valuable Derrick Is to this team. He did not start and Tennessee's press rattled our guys so much that they got off to that great start. Derrick came in and had a calming influence against the press. His teammates must feel more comfortable when he is in the game. His three came at a critical time of the game. He showed his importance to this team by omission and commission.

What we learned in this tourny

1. We can't play man to man with this group...at least not yet.
2. The zone has really worked well.....guys play it with great effort and it stops the layups/Dunks
3. The team is maturing....Carlino really let this game come to him and didn't force things like he was earlier in the year.
4. Duane has the potential to be a great player at MU
5. Need to do a better job of getting the ball t our better free throw shooters when the other team shows that they are going to start fouling. Derrick or Juan should take the ball out not Duane.

6. Tennessee fans wanted Cuonzo Martin gone. They got Donnie Tyndall. Well played.
