Huge day for the Big East. I would be surprised if we still had 2 losses at the end of the night. Pulling hard for Georgetown and St. John's, probably our best chances at upsets.

Not that it really matters because I don't think SJU is very good, but they were favored by 1 over Minn when I checked last night.

I agree completely. It wouldn't surprise me if St. John's was scrapping with us and DePaul by the end of the year for league positioning.

Butler hanging in there for now against UNC - ton of offensive boards.

They need to continue to make this game as scrappy as possible, lots of mistakes from UNC so far, hopefully that continues.

Oddly enough Georgetown is a 1 point favorite. St. John's is a 1 point dog.

Give Holtmann the job permanently, this dude can coach.

Jay Bilas with high praise for Butler's interim coach. ESPN showed a stat that as of today Butler is in the Top 5 in the nation for average margin of victory. Alex Barlow does not have the skills that Bobby Hurley had, but he has the poise and ability to be cool under pressure like Hurley had.

We are likely to be a drag on the conference this year........next year we start doing our fair share and maybe a little more

Obviously way way too early but who you thinking starts for us next year that will help us "do our fair share next year?"

I think:
Pg: Wilson
Wing: cheatham
Wing: Cohen
4: henry
5: heldt

And at this moment I like that construction better than any other option - again way too early but just thought Id ask. (As you can tell im not a huge johnson or taylor fan)

I think one or two of our starters may be guys we don't even realize will be here yet.

Lehigh up 19 to 7 on DePaul on FS1

Minnesota up 46 to 42 in the 2nd half on ESPNU.

Nothing like a 16 to 2 run for St. John's to the game to beat Minnesota. 70 to 61.

St. John's did it's job (always nice to beat a BIG team). DePaul looking like they might join MU in the loss column.

Forgetting about Luke Fischer, who I think will be one of the better bigs in the league next year.

Wally would definitely be starting this year. Be interested to see who starts among Cheatham, Cohen, Wally, and Burton.

I was forced to listen to the end on the radio, as i have no clue what AXS tv is. I guess it's on Dirc tv.

Georgetown takes on the Badgers tomorrow.

I didn't think the Big East would go 3-1 today, as the lone team losing would be DePaul.

That was a great finish. When he pulled up I said "no no no" but that was pure. DSR is solid, but the key guy is LJ Peak. If he can be a consistent scorer, the Hoyas can be really good.

Don't forget JJJ in there.

Don't forget JJJ in there.

JJJ is playing this year by necessity, but he has a long ways to go to start or even make the rotation on a good team (which I hope that we can be next year). There is decent raw talent there, but his feel/understanding for the game is awful at this level and needs to dramatically increase to become a key part of the Marquette program.

I could say the same for Cohen and Burton right now too... And we certainly have no idea what to expect from Cheatham, and Ellenson certainly didn't set the world on fire on a average Minnesota team... JJJ certainly has no less deficiencies than the others at this stage.
