ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

In an effort to raise money and awareness for ALS research, there has been an Ice Bucket challenge that is becoming a big and fun deal.

The other night I was watching the Brewer game and three Brewers were in the dugout ready for the challenge (did it pre game of course). I guess Braun had done it and then challenged Lucroy, Lohse, and Gomez. They stood in the dugout as someone from above poured a gatorade bucked full of ice water on their heads.

They then issued their challenges. Lucroy called out Aaron Rodger (who accepted the challenge). Can't recall who Lohse picked, but one of the people Gomez picked was Sophia Minnaert.

Sophia was doused by Gomez the next night in Chicago. She then called out three people to do the challenge, one of which was MU coach Wojo. Well, Wojo took the challenge, and has now called out Novak and Jabari Parker.

I did the cold water challenge a few months ago, before it was the Ice Bucket. It went around at work and I was seeing 5-6 new videos each day. Found it interesting that it's now seemingly exclusively for ALS. Originally everyone picked their own charities. Though considering I picked ALS the first time around, I'm good with that (my wife's father died of ALS a few years ago).

Minnaert is a proud alum of both Edgewood HS (where her dad Al is the head football coach) and Marquette. Glad to see her get MU and Wojo involved.
