Turkey of the year: Marquette coach Buzz Williams pulled a Bret Bielema, bolting unexpectedly for a job that wasn’t as good as the one he had. Virginia Tech? Really, Buzz? That disappointing 17-15 season at Marquette might seem pretty good by this time next year. If you don’t believe it, just call Bielema down in Arkansas.

Well...job-wise I'm not sure he's wrong. I think too much emphasis is put on conference these days. Is Va Tech in a more prolific conference than MU? Sure. Is it a better conference? Debatable. Is every job in the ACC better than any job in the Big East? No. Lots of coaches end up regretting jumping for what they view as greener pastures when the truth is they got snookered into a job with green spray paint covering up a dead lawn.

If Va Tech succeeds, it will be ALL because of Buzz. That program has absolutely zero reputation or credibility other than the rep and cred he brings.

Actually, Oates is somewhat correct. Buzz is a Virginia Tech Hokie and a Hokie is an emasculated type of turkey.
