CNN aired a special Sunday evening about the low graduation rates of teams in the NCAA Tournament. But it featured Marquette and Butler as two programs who have HIGH graduation rates.

CNN reporters interviewed Jamil Wilson, Fr. Pilarz, Adrienne Trice and Larry Williams. The piece was extremely positive for Marquette and how well it has fared graduating student-athletes in men's basketball.

Wait, Marquette graduates most of their student athletes and someone is reporting on that?

Only the National media is willing to give MU props, ydouask23.

Also, in case you missed this (like I did) it re-airs tonight at 10 pm.

While Larry Williams and Father Pilarz got the on camera time who should get credit for making this kind of institutional commitment? Neither of those individuals were around when this approach was implimented.

Just asking ; - )

Marquette really looks good with how much they stress academics in this article (I think this is the same as the tv slot, not sure).
Show this to the mother of every kid you are recruiting. My guess is the Journal isn't interested in this one, but if it was Wisconsin it just may make the front page.

JS is EXTREMELY reluctant to report on stories they don't break. IWB breaks the Buzz thing, JS ignores it. I bet this never sees Wolfley or Enlund's byline.

Here is another part of that, not video but written, where it talks about Joe Fulce and life after basketball...

As positive as this is for MU, seems to be a negative for UConn.
With that being said, how much longer does Calhoun stay?

If no tourney next season, does he coach 2 more years so he can go out after being in the NCAA tourney?

Shhh...don't tell Butch Badger or Red Foreman/Swenson who accuse MU of not caring about school and cheat their way through school.
