Make or break season time, how do you figure things will pan out in the biggest 9 days of our season?

I think the last two games suggest Marquette's recaptured it's ability to close games in the final 5 minutes. Mayo and Wilson could be shifting into the top offensive options we needed them to be.

Don't know why, but I'm feeling 2-0

I'm thinking 1-1, then if that's the case then every game remaining is do or die.

If I had to guess, this. Think we win tomorrow, but Creighton is a tough match for us (and the best line-up there may be 3 guards, Jamil, and Juan/Burton).

I'm going 2-0, which I'm sure won't surprise anyone. Xavier and Creighton have both been coming back to earth a bit after hot starts. 6 of Xavier's 7 losses have come away from home and they have a 3-6 record outside Cincy, with those wins coming over Butler, DePaul, and Alabama. Creighton's big win over us reminded me of our win over UConn in 2006. No way they were losing that at home. But they haven't had an easy time in their past few games, struggling even with lowly DePaul and Butler. I think the BC will be rocking and it will be one of the toughest environments the Jays face all season.

Despite how tough this season has been, we are still 10-2 at home and have only lost 1 home conference game in the past 3 years (22-1 in our past 23 home conference games) and the one loss was in overtime. I think this team is starting to figure it out, I just hope it's not too late...

Doug McD will be too much to handle.

I actually think Creighton might be easier than Xavier. You can't stop Doug McDermott, but you can stop the rest of Creighton. Force Doug to beat you himself and they become a beatable team. I think Buzz is going to have a much better defensive plan prepared for the second meeting than he did the first time.

Interesting fact...only two teams have ever had a two-game sweep of Marquette under Buzz. Villanova pulled it off in 2010, beating Marquette twice in the span of a week by a combined 4 points. The other was Louisville in 2011, when they pulled off the comeback from 17 down in 5 minutes at the Yum! followed by the NYC blowout en route to the Big East title game. I don't expect Creighton or Xavier to become the third team to achieve that feat.

2-0. I think this team is starting to find itself and feel confident.

Limit the open 3s and we win both.
