ESPN came out with their college hoops power rankings. MU checks in at #17. It is about the level I would expect given the loss of Vander. I think we can easily climb higher in the polls, though, and could be Top 10 by the end of the year.

Of note, 2 old BE teams are ranked higher, Louisville and Syracuse. UConn comes in at #18

Teams that have been talked about as potential adds to the new BE, VCU is at #14, Witchita State at #15, and Creighton at #20

Feels about right. Had Vander stayed, we would likely be a top-10 team. The thing is, it's not Vander that I think we'll miss the most. He's a big loss, but between Mayo, Johnson, and Anderson, we have replacements at the position. I'm far more worried about the loss of Cadougan, despite his sometimes erratic tendencies. While I think I'm less worried about DeWil than some others, we just don't have experienced depth at that position.
