DJO waived by the Lakers again this year. With some of their injuries, age and salaries I thought he had a chance.

Man, that must be tough to get pink slipped like that. He's such a freak athlete, decent touch and so strong I thought he was going to make it this year and I still think he eventually will.

At least he got a trip to China out of them before he got released.

Show of hands of people who with a gun to their head in 2010 and choice of DJO or Buycks to be on an NBA roster in 2013 would have selected Dwight Buycks?

You just never know…...

I'm not saying I would have said that then as I don't remember, but I always said Buycks would be a better pro than college player because it is his style of game.
I was never convinced DJO would be in the NBA because of his height.

Despite him having a tweener height, I always thought DJO would find a role in the NBA----I assumed it would be as an offensive spark plug coming off the bench. It seems as though the NBA has become more accepting of the tweener height guys over the years, which makes this even more disappointing. Hopefully he can crack in somewhere.

I thought DJO would have less issues being at a tweener height than Crowder. In the NBA it is all about getting lucky with the right fit / right opportunity and the right team.

Exactly Goo - If Crowder, or even Wesley were with other teams they may have never made it. So that is my question about DJO...

Drafted by Lakers, but they cut him. They sign him back this year, and cut him again. Would he have been better off trying to hook up with another team or was his best option going back to Lakers because they know him and like him?
