A lot of people around Butler are surprised. Thought it would be Jordan.

I had a feeling they would promote from within, despite most assuming Jordan would get it. That's just what Butler does. Nobody knew who Brad Stevens was about 5 years ago, so we'll have to wait and see what Miller can do. Hope it works out.

Miller really is no more of an insider than Miller looking at their resumes...?

Jordan is definitely a "Butler guy", but isn't currently there. This is the 4th straight time Butler has promoted an assistant, so they are just sticking with what works.

But, Miller has been back on Butlers staff since April 30th. So, he is not a true promotion from within. Semantics.

Wait...did he replace Graves? Crap, if so you are right.

Miller was out of coaching in '11-12 and a Special Assistant to Groce at Illinois in '12-13. He joined the staff in April.

I am a bit surprised. I hope it works out, but it is a gamble. Jordan may not have worked out, either, but he seemed like the choice of most Butler fans.

Again, mere semantics as he was in for 2 months. More currently versed and familiar, but not much. Suspect Jordan would have been a superior recruiter...?

It's a premium article and if you can't read it, one part of it is that Miller was the lead recruiter for Germantown's Lamonte Bearden

No your right, in my mind I was thinking Miller was on staff this season.

Gotta believe Jordan would have been the better choice for pulling in talent, but I'll give Miller a chance. He's a local product so hopefully he can get good in state kids, the state produces plenty of talent.

Not unlike the reaction of most Marquette fans in 2008...(Who is Buzz Williams...?)

Correct. That is why I stated it that way.
