Wow... testament to his character and work ethic. Most likely there are more talented / more potential players out there waiting to get picked up. Happy for him. Didn't Amal get some sort of good guy deal on one of the Keith Van Horn trades?

Does he get to keep his salary from OKC and get paid by Minn?

Lazar played 6 minutes last night and scored 2 points, 1 rebound, and two assists.

Nice to see him get a chance to play after just being signed a couple days ago. DJO is still with the Lakers too after a brief stint in the D-League.

Maybe DJO will get a shot now that Kobe is complaining that the problem with the team is that they are so old.

Hey Kobe, maybe the problem with your team is that they have $82.5 million in salary for their starting 5 and can't afford anyone else? Or, even worse, $66.4 million on just 3 guys? The best record in the NBA starts a lineup of $49 million - almost half of LA's. Yep, got to be the age factor.

You're kind of arguing similar points as Kobe. The older a team is the less cap room there is because guys are generally getting paid more. So while your point of cap flexibility and his point of tired legs or creaky bones are different, they both stem from the same issue, an aging team.

I hear you and agree, but how many times did guys like Michael Jordan, Brett Favre and even Dwyane Wade have restructured their deals so they could sign someone they needed....could you ever see Kobe doing that?

Your point is completely valid, but the guy eating up $27 million + of cap space should not be the one complaining.

Agreed. The only reason the "Big 3" thing works/worked in Miami is because they all agreed to take less than max deals. Kobe is never going to give up getting his.
