Do I dare even try and predict this one?

All right, let's get your predictions:

Score
Panther MVP
3 Keys to the Game

Going into this week, i honestly expected 3 wins on this road trip, now it might be 3 losses.

It's pretty simple, who is gonna step up offensively besides Aaron and Harris ?

and is anybody gonna do any post work ?

I'm gonna pick Rider to win 75 to 67, and I hope I am wrong !

61-60 Milwaukee
Panther MVP: Ryan Haggerty

Keys:

- Don't watch Jay O. They need to make sure they aren't standing around waiting for Jordan to do something.
- Pound the glass. Jacksonville had no answer for the zone defense, but Milwaukee couldn't make them pay for it by letting them get offensive rebounds galore.
- Protect the ball. It's one thing to commit 20 turnovers when you're running the fast break offense, but because Milwaukee was being pressed, they never started running and gunning it. Fewer possessions leads to turnovers having a higher value. They need to protect that ball, don't be sloppy.

Milwaukee 77, Rider 54.

Milwaukee MVP: Kyle Kelm

1) Shoot 3's at a high percentage

2) Make free throws at least 75%

3) play tough smart defense

-Easy win for Panthers

Rider 68 Milwaukee 60

MVP: Chad Knodl (his comments)

keys: 1) stay out of foul trouble

2) need consistent mix of 3's and in the paint points

3) hate to say it, but Jeter needs a full 40min game plan

Hate to say it but we are gonna lose. NO way you beat Rider who i feel is better than Jax after losing to UALR and JAX. I dont know how you beat Davidson then this happens.

Rider 67, Milwaukee 60

MVP: Bobo

Keys: Bench players need to step up. Do Evan Richard and Co. even have a pulse?

If we lose this game in the same fashion as the last 2, Haarsma needs to throw Jeter's passport in the ocean. This is the most I've been embarassed in my time at Milwaukee by this basketball program.

Have you even been following the team? Are you being totally sarcastic? Or are you clinically insane?

There. That settles that.

And we're on the air with Milwaukee's original J.O., Bill Johnson.

Meetch made a 3?! Wow!

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 03:34 PM
I like Bill Johnson a whole lot more calling Milwaukee games than I do in talk radio, that's for sure.

Why is Wolf taking shots? Why is Wolf playing?

thepantherfan
11-25-2012, 03:36 PM
We are really having issues with the pressure Rider is applying

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 03:36 PM
There you go Kyle. Let's start going.

If we start moving the ball quickly, they can really settle into their kind of game.

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 03:38 PM
It does seem like the press has been giving us problems all week. I know this was a big focus in recruiting, and a big reason we picked up Bobo and Jay O - they can both handle the ball in ways that Kaylon Williams could not.

But they're not breaking the press.

It's great that the Panthers have Panoske, a guy who's 6'10" 225 lbs. and he goes and bricks a three pointer. Perfect.

Just because they're trying to mold him into a post player doesn't mean that you take away his outside shooting completely to do so.

Panoske was a 46% three-point shooter in high school.

Your argument is invalid here. This isn't the team's problem. It's lack of motivation, sloppy defense, and a cancerous culture.

Rider is just having way too easy a time scoring.

I think everyone may have taken Ryan Allen for granted the last two seasons because they certainly miss his defense.

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 04:03 PM
Bobo is a very good on-the-ball defense, but we're missing the help defense of Allen and Williams - that's the big difference right now. But there's no one leading, no one telling them how to do things.

My argument here is that he has enough size to where he should be taking a better percentage shot. I realize he can shoot the three, but not ONCE has he shown me a good inside presence, which is obviously something the team needs.

Panthers defense this year is awful.

I'm going to have to disagree. I can't imagine what things would be like if their defense was as decent as it has been this year. Their defense has definitely stepped up. The Davidson game is a tribute to that. I think it has more to do with not getting rebounds.

Spirit of Bruce

Right, but when you're open for the three and you can shoot it, you take it.

Yes, this is turning into an embarassing disaster.

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 04:32 PM
The real problem here is what Brandon has said for awhile - this is a team that relies a lot on jump shooting, and they've been cold since Monday.

Rider has 17 points off turnovers. If they had 0, their lead would be 1.

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 04:51 PM
We're almost at that point where you have to wonder if it's better to just let it go and play the end of the bench.

"Rider guys are just too athletic for Milwaukee to handle." - Kevin O'Connor.

That's a clear failure of recruiting.

Jimmy Lemke

I just feel bad for Davidson. We are single-handedly tearing up their at-large abilities.

thepantherfan
11-25-2012, 04:52 PM
I have been reserving judgement on this team thus far this year seeing as there is a lot of basketball yet to be played. But after this road trip I'm very concerned about the prospects of this basketball team this year.

Jimmy Lemke

Kevin O'Connor is starting to really get good on color. Giving us exactly why Rider is better.

At some point, the non-conference season has to become "important."

This wasn't a vacation and it was treated as such. Riding ATV's and snorkeling, I wonder what else they did.

3-14 shooting in the second half.

Chad Boudreau is up!

Jimmy Lemke
11-25-2012, 05:31 PM
Quotes from Boudreau:

"Defensively we were just awful."

"This was disappointing and embarrassing."

"Even when we got it in the half court, they kept the pressure up."

"Jordan was just out of gas."

"Thierno made some awful decisions."

"Pick us up in full court and pressure us...that's the recipe to beat us."

"It was good to see Evan get going offensively...but defensively he needs to get going."

"No one played well. Defensively no one was good. I've got to credit Rider because they're very good, but we played badly."

Is there game tape on the Mexico games available yet? Like full game tape? And if not will there ever be tape available to us? I really want to see these two games. I mean i don't know what I am hoping for but maybe its that there will be some intangibles from these games that we missed from only hearing it that will be a "brightside" if you will. Because from listening to the games there was little "brightside" to be found.

I just want to go on record by saying I owe JJ Panoske an apology. My comment yesterday was wrong-headed.

I don't think there's an issue. You did a good thing apologizing, but I'm sure there's no hard feelings. I didn't feel like the incompetent remark was pointed at JJ as much as it was at Jeter. "Apparently he's incompetent" sounded to me like you were questioning Jeter's assessment of his player.

No worries, bygones be bygones.

lutzow10

Yeah. You are probably right. I don't know what I was hoping to see on the tape that would make me fewl better. Maybe I was hoping to see a different game being played. One where we won. Haha. Oh well
