Jim I remember that game awesome dunk long delay after. That was one of the last shattered backboards I remember seeing. I believe it was not long after that they started using breakaway rims.

I remember it too - wasn't that strong, but he came from the side and basically twisted the rim and it popped - didn't have spares laying around then so it took a while to find one - a couple of years later I ran the homecoming events at MUHS - I held a slam dunk competition and a cat named Charles Benn shattered the board - since it was my event the AD was chasing me down the halls yelling at me that I had to pay for it - they aren't cheap!!

I remember that too...but the best thing I remember about Michael Wilson is him blocking outside shots on guys. They would think they were going to get a jumper off and he would just swat it back.
