This week's SI is their NBA edition and has an article on Brooklyn b-ball legends written by Chicago Sun-Times Rick Telendar in conjunction with the Nets move to Brooklyn this year. Was hoping to see at least a mention of Sam, but alas there was none.
However, surfing the web to check out Sam I came across this picture - the '79-'80 Playboy AA team of which Sam was a member. That was my senior year and I remember well all the guys on the team, but you'd have to say that it was a pretty week year judging how collectively they did in the NBA.
What is this Playboy publication anyway - not familiar with it - a sports and nature content based magazine or something? In any event see the link below:
