...bleacher report - don't think the BE should take that big a tumble though and don't agree with the statement that UCONN and 'Ville will be counted on to do the heavy lifting. However, I do wonder about the impact of the negative recruiting with all the instability.

Is this the same guy who wrote the article that Marquette MUST leave the Big East? The Big East is at least Top 3 or 4.

Looking at the future Big East as it stands now I think we will still be a top hoop conference.

Louisville - Memphis - Temple - Villanova - Marquette - Georgetown - St. Johns - Cincy - UConn

That is nine schools that are normal participants in the NCAA tourney. Who knows if Houston, Providence, Seton Hall, South Florida, etc will step up, but as it stands we are still at top level hoops conference. Notre Dame really hurts from a perception standpoint, and in that they participated in all of the other sports helping to make the Big East a viable league for baseball, lacrosse, etc.

To be fair, it's obvious the writer is painfully stupid and probably suffered brain damage, not from being dropped, but from the doctor deliberately slamming his head into the concrete floor, as a child. Poor little guy, it's a miracle that he can string that many words together for BR.

Our hoops is still good enough to be up there with the other leagues other than the ACC as it stands right now. The issue that will hurt us in recruiting is that there is no stability and promise that four years from now it will look the same even as we currently stand. The BE has got to get some stability before it can repair its image.
