The 2022-23 edition just released. The Bucks are favored (43%) to win the title for the first time in the 21-year history of the survey. 72% of GMs have the Bucks winning the East.

Bucks Highlights:

*Giannis is the preferred player of GMs (55%) to start a franchise with. Luka Doncic was 2nd (45%)

*Giannis voted the best defensive player in the NBA (48%). Draymond Green was 2nd with 24%. Jrue Holiday received votes, Marcus Smart did not.

*Best Perimeter Defender: Marcus Smart was the top vote-getter (41%) followed by Jrue Holiday (31%)

*Giannis voted the "Most Versatile Defender" (41%) followed again by Draymond Green (31%)

*The Bucks finished tied for 3rd (with Miami) for "Best Defensive Team". Behind Boston (69%) and Golden State (10%)

*Giannis considered "Most Versatile NBA Player" (59%) with LeBron James a distant second (21%)

*Bucks predicted to have the 2nd "Most Efficient Offense" (17%) behind Golden State (38%)

*Milwaukee was 1 of 9 teams receiving votes for "Best Home-Court Advantage"

*Charles Lee (MIL) tied for 1st with Kenny Atkinson (GS) for "Best Assistant Coach"

*Coach Bud tied for 3rd under "Coach that runs the Best Offense" and received votes for "Best Overall Coach". Erik Spoelstra again selected "Best Overall Coach"

If we stay healthy we certainly should be in the mix for the title.

Will be interesting to see if Giannis has improved his outside shooting or changed anything in the off season. Last year his free throw shooting was much improved.

That's the nice thing about it. Who knows if or how many more titles the Bucks can win, but with Giannis at 27, players will want to play with him and as long as he stays in Milwaukee they should often be in the mix. That is all you can really ask for as a fan.

Interesting notes and stats from this article. The Bucks are tweaking their philosophy when it comes to the opposing team's 3-point attempts. Brook Lopez showed up to training camp in possibly the best shape he has ever been in. The Bucks own a 71.7% winning percentage over the past 2 seasons (including playoffs) when each member of the Big 3 plays. EuroBasket helped Giannis progress even further in terms of how to play against a packed lane (no illegal defense/3 seconds in the lane). Team is excited for when Joe Ingles joins the team in December/January.
