Typical Marquette start. Like Sacar so far.

Sacar finally finishes one ......and with authority!!!!

Studly Sacar.

Thought Markus tweaked his groin - what's worse a hip or a groin?

Mark Miller told me back.

This is like a Reggie Lisowski - Bill Afflis wrestling match.

The absurdity of these calls is honestly amazing. Travel on us, not a travel on them. Ticky tack $h!t on us, they can beat the snot out of us. Jeff Anderson is a clown.

Agreed. This is a typically badly officiated BE game. I wonder if we will see any of the BE officials in the NCAA's? Not if it is based on performance.

Yep, no consistency whatever.

The Incomparable Kenny Jay is not wrestling today, so he's reffing the second half with Scrap Iron Gadaski.

I missed what Theo did on that illegal screen.

It’s raining 3s in the 2nd half. Some great passing

I was down on Sacar early in the year, but he’s really improved offensively over the course of the season

Yes. Both Brendan and Cain in the game and gives the team some needed depth going forward.

You were not alone, as there were many who I recall were down on him. I recall some questioning if he might transfer as a grad transfer next year, since MU will be so deep and his minutes will be taken by others. Shows why coaches stick with guys sometimes when fans are wondering why. He really has blossomed into a very good ballplayer - both offensively and defensively.

As an aside, I cringe when he goes to the FT line, but almost feel it's automatic when he shoots the corner 3. That used to be reversed!

Very good win today. Glad to see Joey come out of his freshman slump. Couldn't have come at a better time, either.

Now 6-1 on the BE road. Very nice.

Man that was impressive.

Great to see Joey break out of his shooting slump.

How about the player development of Sacar Anim? I mean seriously.

Win by 18 on the road with Markus going 2-12......wow

I've been critical of Markus when he hunts shots, but today he played a real smart floor game and let others make plays. Good game for Markus.

One of the more complete team wins we have had.

18 Sacar
18 Sam
15 Joey

4 second half turnovers. Got the rebounding figured out after first few minutes. Really really impressive.

Not all will agree with this as MU is in first place in the Big East, but I feel that Wojo's biggest accomplishment since he's been at MU is the development of Sacar Anim. From what he was as a freshman to what he is now? Unbelievable transformation!

I remember when he was asked to redshirt.....and Wojo said he sat down with Sacar and his family to make the case as to why he thought it was the right move.

I thought(and I'm sure I wasn't alone) why redshirt a guy who might be a role player at best? Why spend another scholarship year on him?

Man was I wrong.......

I had forgotten about that Markedman, good memory. That will help in future discussions and may have when GE and family had discussions with Wojo about GE redshirting this year.

MU has locked up at least a 2 seed in the BET now.

Yeah, but with Greg an injury was the driving issue where Sacar was purely developmental.

Heck, this year it would probably be fairest to have all of the bottom 8 play Wednesday night at the BET. None of them deserve a bye right now.

Yes, I realize that. Wojo still had a conversation with the family to assure them it was the best for Greg. That was my point.

I could see the same with Cain. With McEwen and Elliot in the fold next year, playing time may be scarce, but then again, next year could be a great year for MU hoops if Markus stays.

Never know, but I can't remember a guy anywhere redshirting as a junior for developmental purposes.

Not sure about the precedent, but I would do it in a heartbeat and think it would have value for all parties. As long as Markus is back, there will great depth at the 1-4 spots, and three of those players (Markus, Sacar, and Sam) will graduate a year from now.
