The Mount has a mighty mite 5'5" 150 lb. guard named Junior Robinson. Wonder if Rowsey or Howard (if he plays) can hang with this kid. He had 38 points in an exhibition game earlier with 8-13 from 3 point land. Also had 27 against Delaware in an 84-82 win in a charity exhibition with 4 of 9 on treys. The write-up in Blue Ribbon Basketball Yearbook describes him as an "impossibly quick guard".

Look for Rowsey and Howard to post him up and use their height advantage. ;-)

MU’s defense looks much improved so far.

I love the fact that I’m able to watch this game on TV in DC

Wow - always a trip trying to get into the BC wireless for the first time this year.

You've probably seen most of it already, but for those catching up our officials tonight are Pat Driscoll, Ed Corbett and Nathan Farrell.

Hauser, Heldt, Anim, Cheatham & Rowsey started for MU. Obviously Howard(Ankle) and Elliott(Thumb) are playing through the pain.

Great first half from Rowsey and Matt. Really liked Sacar's defense on Robinson.

Scored 48 and couldn't throw it in the ocean from 3.

Theo's free throw shooting could be a problem......

Too many offensive fouls.....the one on Sam was a joke.

Kind of weird that During halftime Lavin kept talking about MU’s lack of size. Come Big East play, we’ll have 5 guys 6’8 or taller.

He must have forgotten about Harry. Will still be pretty small with Markus and Rowsey playing so many minutes but they bring lots of other great things to the table.

JOEY. I trashed talked him:"Joey, no way are you better than Sam".

Up 74-37. Were then out-scored 22-6. Wojo can't be pleased with that turn of events. I realize Sam, Markus, and Rowsey were all on the bench for almost all of that stretch, but that is still something Wojo did not want to see.

I doubt it. He had the freshmen in for most of that stretch. He needs them game ready and you have to start somewhere. Now every mistake is on tape and they can review their play against a D1 team. It’s the first step in their improvement.

I don't think Wojo had any problems with that final, even after having them doubled up. He could've mixed in experienced players and likely kept the margin wider, but he knew it was in hand. I also liked that when the first team did come back in, they righted the defensive ship. Overall, I'm pleased with the performance.
