I am biased but here is my list. Thought of this in traffic today on the way to my office:

#1: 1977 MU in Al McGuire’s farewell

Walton with 44 vs Memphis 1973
1976 Indiana unbeaten
MSU with Magic and Kelser over Bird 1979
Michael Jordan shot 1982
NCState with Valvano 1983
Rollie Massamino and Nova 1985
1987 Indiana with Smart shot
2015 Duke

I'll add the 1999 Duke-UConn game, and the 2005 Illinois-UNC game.

88 Kansas over Oklahoma too. 87-89 championship games are probably what hooked me on college hoops. (I sound like TC.)

NC State Houston and Nova over Hoyas also up there for me......I was in Salt Lake City at U of Utah for that game. It was a highly contested game until MSU took over in the last couple minutes. No way that was over hyped. It was REAl...! Bird kept ISU right there. What was over hyped there was Mark Aguirre in the semis. Fat boy.

I didn't say it was overhyped....I said it was most hyped.....not in a bad way.

That Jimmy V NC State win was great to watch, as were both Villanova titles.

Certainly one of the most entertaining games in history IMO - the pace was non-stop exhilarating.

Nova in 2016 because of what it meant for the realigned Big East conference, but also because it was a hell of a game with an unbelievable finish.

2 others not mentioned:

(1) Kansas winning in 2008 over Memphis, after being down 9 with just over 2 minutes left

(2) Cheating a bit here....1991 semifinal between UNLV and Duke. UNLV was defending national champions and undefeated. Duke played a near perfect game. So much talent in that game: Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon, Greg Anthony, Christian Laettner, Grant Hill, Bobby Hurley.
