Rowsey with one of the cockiest threes I have seen in a while, but he drained it!

JJJ 2-3
Rowsey 1-1

With 8 mins to go in first half, 8 of 9 players for MU have scored. Only Cheatham left.

Luke is now at 993 for his career at Marquette (7 points today) and Jajuan is up to 981 (10 today). Both should hit 1,000 for their career before the season ends, and possibly here on Senior Day.

MU clicking on all cylinders today. Up 10 at the half, Creighton holds a slight rebounding advantage 18-16, but MU shooting 54.5% from the field, 59.3% from three. 13 assists on 18 baskets.

MU with 11 assists and only 4 turnovers.

Cain, John and Elliott all in the house today.

Luke with 11 at the second half under 16 timeout, he needs 3 points for 1,000 in a Marquette uniform. JJ up to 20 for the game, 9 away from 1,000 for his career.

So much for the nice turnover stat, 4 in first half, 4 more in first 5 minutes of second half.

I think MU could be very dangerous in the tournament. It is typically a guards game. If MU is hitting their shots, I like their chances against just about anyone. The reverse is also true.

Wojo takes Luke out 1 point shy of 1,000 for his MU career. Ouch.

Great great win. Made it hard on themselves missing free throws at the end but controlled the game.

Markus with 9 assists.....Sam to me is the unsung hero....other then fouling the 3 point shooter he had a great floor game.....JJ fantastic first half.....really happy he got his moment at the end.

He is one of the smartest (basketball wise) players I have seen at MU in years. Almost never makes the wrong decision. Very few bad passes and bad shots. He is fun to watch and it will be a pleasure to watch him over the next 3 years.

Yes, but it was right for the moment. He will get it Thursday.

Wojo sure rides the 5 on the floor for a long while. After JJJ missed the dunk he sits untill the final minute. You need a guy to take it to the basket in the final minutes.

Wojo HAD to take Fischer out at that point. We were trying to inbound against press and shoot free throws. JJ for Luke was a no brainer.

Okay, one complaint about todays game and it might be a small one.
.
The DJ kept the music going even after the ball was inbounded and down under 3 minutes when MU needed communication to get the ball inbounds, the frickin music was still going. Once the ref has the ball in his hands to give the ball to the inbounder, shut the music off.

Thank you

Gotcha, but it is loud. Talking with the usher at our section, who has been around for a long time, he says the music is far louder than at the Bucks games. It is loud!

Ted, I noticed that too. However, not a factor and not too loud. Sorry Nukem!

Guys - I agree that taking Luke was the right move, MU had to call timeouts twice just to inbound. Was just pointing out how close he came to hitting 1,000.
