GTown - 88; MU - 72

Pretty good defensive effort as we hold the Hoyas to under 100. But Pryor and Peak chew us up.

They remember JJJ calling them lazy on defense.

Marquette 81
Georgetown 72.

Close game in the first half. we get up 15 midway through the 2nd half, they put a scare into us with a comeback and we ice it with free throws.

This is the first game I feel good about since @ Creighton.

I was thinking the same thing as MUwarrior1090 with, "This is the first game I feel good about since @ Creighton", and then Alex reminded us that JJJ called them lazy. Georgetown will come out strong, will be a close game. Question is, can MU defend down the stretch? Georgetown will constantly be back-cutting etc., we need to defend the paint. Look for some zone D out of MU.

MU 74-G'Town 71.

Yup. Wish JJ had kept the coaches' comments to himself. You can bet JT3 has that comment taped up on the bulletin board (or whatever they use nowadays) in the locker room. The Hoyas will be on fire on defense. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some not-so-friendly chatter going on during the game between JJ and whoever is on him.

I'm hoping JJ does not over-react and start trying to go one on one every time down the court.

Their season is basically over. I don't think JjJ's comments from over a month ago will inspire them all of a sudden.

I think the low score in the last one was an anomaly. We squeak out a road win in a shootout.

Why is it after a loss, there is doom and gloom. No NCAA bid, no NIT bid, fire the coach etc.

Then when it comes to prediction time, so many people pick MU to win. Don't get it.

Probably depends on whose posts you're focusing on.

Or maybe it will

Don't know why people dismiss this type of motivation. Obviously it was a factor, even if only to bring focus to their team. I wish one of our opponents was dumb enough to talk $h!t about Marquette. Seems everything else they've tried has failed.
