Plumlee for Hibbert and Hawes.

Steve Novak will be released unfortunately.

Good trade for the Bucks to get out from under the Plumlee contract. IMO

This belongs on the Bucks board, just saying :D. Otherwise, kind of funny seeing the Bucks just resigned Plumlee to a 4-year $52 million deal this past summer. Plumlee simply fell out of the rotation, so this trade can only help.

No idea what Charlotte is thinking agreeing to this trade unless the Bucks have to kick in a future 1st round pick.

I would think they might move Hawes or it is possible they might release Hibbert. No reason to keep Hawes, Hibbert, Henson, Monroe and Maker so I would think one gets moved before the deadline, which might allow Novak to be back with the Bucks.

I think they are making another move, at least clearing room for future move.

Plumlee: $12.4 million for four years - $49.6 million
Hibbert: $5.78 and $6,02 - $12 million
Hawes: $5.7 million

They just dumped $49.6 million in salaries in exchange for $17.7.

They have freed up a ton of cap space!

Hammonds cleaned up his mess but lets not forget he offered him the terrible deal in the first place when Plumlee was a restricted free agent (not even matching another teams deal).

I wonder if the Bucks thought Monroe was going to be moving on and Plumlee may have been their center going forward.

Also makes me wonder if there is a disconnect with Kidd. No way does Hammond give Plumlee that deal if he knows Kidd isn't going to play him.
Did Kidd sour on Plumlee four months after thinking he was his center for the next four years? If so, then Hammond also bailed Kidd out too.

Either way, great deal for the Bucks to shed future salary.

I think Plumlee started the year at center and looked pretty awful, and then racked up the DNPs. I never thought we'd get out from that contract so wel, especially with no picks. I think he is much better than he showed this year, but getting out of that contract is huge.

Great move for the Bucks. Basically make up for a bad mistake signing Plumlee. Plumlee is better off as he will be number two in Charlotte behind a guy who is very similar. Bucks get about a 30 million salary dump for a guy that was not going to play for them anyway. it has been pretty widely assumed that the Bucks have been trying to move Monroe. If that is the case, this gives them a little bit of protection as Henson is not much of a player either. I think it would be dumb to move Monroe as he has really improved this year. The Bucks finally got Hibbert after many years of trying. If I had to guess, he is probably the odd man out and most likely to be moved to a team like Cleveland.

But this Hibbert isn't the same Hibbert of a few years ago. He's not very good.

Hibbert' s value in this trade is an expiring contract.

He won't be on the team next season.
