The worst team in the league takes the #1 team in the country to the final shot.

The second worst team in the league takes the #13 team in the country to the final four minutes in a two point game.

This league is tough.

Couple of non conference notes...

Georgia with a nice come from behind win at Auburn. Currently #37 in the RPI
Houston Baptist with a road conference win. Only 2-6, but have a 97 RPI. Could turn out to be a decent win for us.

I said earlier in the season and I'll say it again. I wish we were playing St. John's earlier as opposed to later in the conference season because there is a lot of talent on that team, and if they ever figure out how to play together, they will make a lot of games miserable for their favored opponents.

Actually, I would rather play them later in the year, as I do not believe they will handle the adversity of a losing streak well. They are still hopeful and optimistic now, but could see them falling apart once they are 9-14 (my projected record for them going into Marquette game) and realize the season is going nowhere (and I could see Mullin totally checked out by then as well).
