How does Lunardi leave out Providence with a RPI of 30, SOS of 48 and a 7-2 record. Yet he has Rhode Island as an #8 seed with an RPI of 40, SOS of 39 and a 6-3 record. Not to mention Providence defeated Rhode Island this past weekend? Big East is #1 in RPI right now and 3rd in winning %. Just shows it is way too early for Bracketology.

I don't think he even considers RPI at this point. Not sure exactly what criteria he uses.....probably a combination of resume and computer numbers(pomeroy, Sagarin).

Agreed it is way too early but he gets paid to put them out... .so,he does.

Shows you how important those games vs. Michigan and Pitt were.

Shows you how important those games vs. Seton Hall and Providence will be.

Lunardi's tweet basically shows that bracketology is a complete waste of time this point in the season :D.

Why does everyone call it a play in game?

I hope Wisconsin is not placed in Milwaukee.

First 4..play in games...whatever....NCAA isn't calling them first round games anymore so call it anything you want.

This site also has us playing MSU in the first 4....

I am certain if they are a top-2 seed they will be. Maybe even as far down as a 4.

Wisconsin will end up in Milwaukee without question. Their fans will pay scalpers a crapload of money for tickets for game one. If they win, those fans will have blown the budget and not return the next game.

Just like last time.

Here is what kills me about Lunardi and his bracketology - they blow smoke up our backsides about how accurate he is, yet he changes it every day. "He is over 98% accurate." Really? There are 64 teams. 28 teams get automatic bids. There are about another 23 or so that are in the top 30 that are for sure in. That is 59 out of 64. So he is really only guessing on 5 schools, so if he gets one wrong they will say he is 98.4% accurate, when in reality he missed one of 5 so he is really 80% accurate.

Give credit to guys like Zuch who tout their accuracy, not only on the teams, but also where they are seeded. Let's start comparing Lunardi's seeds and see how accurate he is.

https://bracketville.wordpress.com/bracketology/ They should go back and call it Opening Round! Or just go back to 64 teams.
