I'm serious. The pieces are in place for MU to be a viable candidate to make the Final Four.

To clarify, I'm talking about the women's hoops team.

The top five players on this year's team are sophomores. They are the top five in terms of playing time and the top five in terms of scoring. They just beat the #18 team in the country by 11 points and then beat the #22 team in the country. If this group stays together, it could be an incredibly good team when these five players are seniors.

Allazia Blockton is averaging 19.5 ppg, 6 rpg, and 4.5 apg. She is shooting 54% from the field and 87% from the line.

Erika Davenport is averaging 16.5 ppg and 10.3 rpg and is shooting 61% from the field.

Natisha Heideman is averaging 16.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and 3.8 apg. She is shooting 47% from the field, 41% on treys, and 77% from the line.

Amani Wilbourn is averaging 11.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, and 3.5 apg. She is shooting 50% from the field and 86% from the line.

Danielle King is averaging 8.8 ppg and 3.8 apg. She is shooting 45% from the field including 40% on treys.

They have real good size in the freshman class, including a 6'4" center, a 6'2" forward, a 6'2" guard, and a 6'0" guard.

Plus, two years from Chloe Marotta will be an incoming freshman.

This team is still young, and it will be inconsistent. It will probably lose a couple of games it could have, and should have, won, but the potential is there to not only become an NCAA Tournament team, but to make a solid run in the tournament when these sophomores are seniors.
