Won the first post season game in program history - a 14-9 win in the Big East Tournament against Villanova. They'll play in Denver on Saturday, likely against Denver who plays Providence later tonight. This win may have gotten them an At Large bid, but it would be nice to beat Denver and take the automatic bid.

A little aside, the team has been in Denver since Saturday where they lost to the Pioneers. Clearly, the move paid off with tonight's win. It's nice to be watching our games on TV. We had a few on Fox and the last couple have been on CBS sports network.

Hoping this program can keep Amplo for year to come. Would be nice to see this team a perennial Top 12 team.

Congrats to Joe Amplo and the team. Being in Denver for the past week has acclimated the guys to the high altitude in the mile high city. Go MU and beat NCAA top ranked Denver on Saturday! (4:30 ET, 3:30 CT CBSSN)

While you never know what may happen in the future, I have it from a pretty good source that Coach Amplo is happy at Marquette.

Read the story (I think it was from MU Wire) about the genesis of the team/program and the recruitment of Amplo. Very well written and one of the things that sticks out is that it was very important to Amplo that his wife be comfortable living in Milwaukee (they are east coast people). The fact that they took the job clearly means they are happy in Milw, so certainly bodes well for him sticking around.
