Gus Johnson and analyst Bill Raftery, FS1’s lead college basketball broadcast team, call four BIG EAST Tournament first-round and quarterfinal games on Wednesday and Thursday, March 9 and 10, before former All-American Jim Jackson joins Johnson for the semifinals and final on Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12. Jackson also pairs with Justin Kutcher to call Thursday’s afternoon quarterfinals. Molly McGrath serves as sideline reporter for the entire tournament, and host Rob Stone and analysts Steve Lavin and Donny Marshall are also on-site at the “World’s Most Famous Arena” for pregame, halftime and postgame studio coverage.

Three Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament contests are televised on FS1, beginning with the final quarterfinal matchup on Thursday, March 10 (11:30 PM ET) and continuing with Friday’s second semifinal (11:30 PM ET) and Saturday’s championship (10:00 PM ET). Joe Davis and Sean Elliott call Pac-12 Tournament games on FS1, while studio host Kevin Burkhardt and analyst Casey Jacobsen are on-site at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas for pregame, halftime and postgame analysis.

Pretty obvious that the Big East is protecting the top seed by setting up the schedule with 8/9 winner playing the first game today against the #1 seed.

Obviously not really fair for Hoyas but you can understand since it benefits the conference not to have Nova upset in their first game.

Everyone does that.

#1 UNC is playing now and Oregon play first in their leagues today.

Indiana, Dayton, Texas A&M and Temple all play first on Friday in their Q-finals.

Looks like the Big 12 is the only league that doesn't. As #1 seed plays in the 2nd game.

Most brackets have #1 at the top and that means the first game. #2 is at the bottom and usually the last or second to last.

The Big 14 really is not all that good this year.

It's really not very good. With the exception of Michigan state, the big 14 doesn't really have many good out of conference wins that I've seen. Seems like all of the big ten teams big wins are against each other. Could be like that in every conference though with the way teams schedule nowadays.

Maryland can also string wins together. Those are the only two IMO that are Final Four worthy.

Place was packed for the semis. The corners were full. Maybe the Bridge (way at the top) was empty but that is not a good place for watching basketball. Great atmosphere tonight--that old BIG EAST feel, for sure.

That bridge you speak of, are those the light blue seats?

It is an overhang at the top of the arena--cannot see it on TV. It is pretty cool, might be perfect for hockey. Mostly bars and TVs with a unique view of the floor.
