DePaul has a chance to sweep Providence. Bentil has to sit out after getting a Flagrant 2 last night, and Dunn has been sick and looked bad last night. Would not be ideal for the Friars postseason hopes!

By the way, did anyone see the Bentil's flagrant 2 last night? I could see a flagrant 1, but thought the flagrant 2 looked like another example of Big East officials overreacting. Zagoria has a tweet saying Bentil will not have to sit because it didn't involve fighting.

Oh ya, I was watching! I guess Brando was saying in the letter of the rule it was a flagrant 2, but the refs could have used common sense.

but the refs could have used common sense.

Why would they start now?

Big OT win for Butler at G'town. A loss there would have really hurt their tourney chances.

Kellen Dunham scored 29 points as Butler survived a late collapse and overtime session to beat Georgetown 90-87. Butler lead 79-66, with 2:37 left.

Butler and Providence may have punched their tickets today. One more win wouldn't hurt either, but those were needed wins.

Both probably need one more win each to feel totally secure (and in Providence's case, two losses means one to St. John's). I will say that any team from A-10 or American not named Dayton or UConn getting in ahead of any tourney caliber Big East team would be utter garbage. How either of those leagues is looking at 3-4 bids is mind blowing given that they did nothing in non-conference play and fatten up on the shitty bottom halves of their leagues (that may as well be low-major teams). I realize that Creighton is not making it in real life, but I would favor them against any American or A-10 team not named Dayton or UConn.
