Bosh took a slot probably because he still feels a connection to Toronto where the game is being played. I cannot speak for the others.

That sounds logical. I like Bosh - glad he overcame that health scare. That '03 draft was beyond crazy good.

3-point contest is more popular than the dunk contest now so the NBA wants bigger names. The three questionable players are bigger names than Wes and Steve. And who knows, maybe the NBA asked Wes if he wanted to participate and he declined opting to rest for the week instead.

I think Wes was in it one year, did fairly well. Hopefully Middleton does well.
