Hoyas have the talent to be much better than they've been. Might be turning the corner - they are pretty young.

Is Georgetown playing themselves into position to be on the bubble?

Pretty good non conference slate from an RPI standpoint with only 3 games against sub 250 RPI teams.
Lost close ones to Maryland and Duke. Loss to Monmouth doesn't look as bad now. Beat Syracuse, Wisconsin, and Xavier, and has another non conference game with UConn.

After the ranked 4 teams, the Big East needs another team or two to step up and make the tourney. Am hoping somehow MU can do that, but Georgetown could be another team.

That would be all well and good. However, you're leaving something out --- losses to Radford & UNC-Asheville. Monmouth too. They obviously have some impressive wins this year, but G'Town got steamrolled by them by double digits at home! Hard to overcome those losses.

Georgetown still has a great non-conference opportunity this weekend @ UCONN.

Good points. At least UNC Asheville and Monmouth are leading their leagues and have a good chance to make the tourney, but you are right in that those along with the Radford loss do hurt.

Monmouth loss won't hurt them much(14-4 18th in the RPI currently)...considering all of the other teams they beat.

Bilas used to say that when it comes to bubble teams they have all shown they can lose.....show me who you beat.

That Xavier win on the road will go along way if they are close.
